Hey {{send_name}}!
Check out what's new at PROHASHING!

Kaspa mining has arrived!

KHeavyHash mining has been Beta released, and is now supported at PROHASHING!

Kaspa is an open-source, decentralized proof-of-work cryptocurrency, which uses a ledger structured as a blockDAG, based on the GhostDAG/PHANTOM protocol. It supports high block rates, currently boasting one block per second. KAS is mined using the KHeavyHash algorithm, a core dominant algorithm, which is a modification of HeavyHash.

While it's true that ASICs have already been developed to mine Kaspa, making it accessible to ASIC miners also, KHeavyHash doesn't use much memory, making it a good dual-mined coin for GPU miners, in combination with more memory-intensive algorithms such as Autolykos or Etchash, which are also supported at PROHASHING. Two mining softwares that support dual mining of Kaspa are Gminer and lolMiner.

Keep an eye out for a PROHASHING Kaspa mining walkthrough!

Google Authenticator now acceptable for 2FA

Until recently, we've strongly recommended using only Authy for 2 factor authentication due to the ability to use backup codes to retrieve the 2FA codes in the case of a lost or damaged device or to access the codes on more than one device. We strongly cautioned against using other authentication apps unless the user was familiar with a way to back up the codes in some other way. Google Authenticator had been among the applications without that ability. As of late April, the app has been updated to include the ability to back up 2fa codes to a Google Account, and you can now access your codes from multiple devices.

For more information on how to set up the newer, upgraded Google Authenticator to associate with your Google Account and use it to enable 2FA with PROHASHING, please check out our Blog Post on upgraded Google Authenticator App and our documentation on 2FA.
